Topic: Supernatural Lifting

Memorise: But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. – Psalms 3:3

Read: Daniel 3:15-20 (KJV)

15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

Bible in One Year: Isaiah 4-7, Psalms 31:19-24

MESSAGE:

There is nothing as good as having God as your ally. I pity those who make men their shield. It is foolishness to do so because man is limited and cannot even help himself when he becomes overwhelmed with the circumstances of life. There is nothing impossible with God and there is no situation that is beyond Him. This is why I want to abide in Him always, because I know He alone will never fail.

“But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” – Psalms 3:3

This was the voice of David when he confronted a situation that was beyond him. His son conspired with others, not only to take away his crown, but also to take his life. Who do you run to when people are not only interested in taking your position but also taking your life? Who do you cry to when that strange woman is not only interested in taking your husband but also taking your life? God is the only one who can lift one supernaturally.

There are people who have grief in their hearts. There are those who have been praying and crying for help. There are those who have been sowing in tears. If you are included in these groups, I want you to be comforted because the Almighty God will lift you higher than your problems in Jesus’ name. Do not lose hope in the ability of God to deliver you from any plot against your life. Just call upon the Lord and you will see Him destroying your enemies with their own hands. It does not matter how many enemies are surrounding you at all sides, there is protection for you in God. God is the one who lifts up the heads of His children. He puts great honour upon them and removes everything that has to do with shame and reproach. He is a deliverer to those who run to Him and He ensures all things work out together for their good. Are you in any situation in which the number of people rising up against you are on the increase simply because God is on your side? I want to assure you that the Almighty God will give you peace and calm in the midst of the storm. God will deliver you out of every hand that is holding you down. The fact that God has been fighting on your behalf in the past should give you an assurance that you are a permanent candidate for supernatural lifting, as long as you are at peace with God. All you need to do is ensure that there is no unrighteousness or ungodliness in you. Do not follow the path of the wicked. Live holy and be obedient in faith. Give yourself to prayers always, so that you can put the devil where he belongs. Those who walk in the truth of the gospel will always enjoy glory and honour from God. Be strong in the promises of God and be fully persuaded that all God has promised you will surely come to fulfilment.

From our Bible reading, we see how the three Hebrews boys moved from being slaves to being condemned and then to being promoted all in one day. After God had shown up for them, the king immediately commanded that any people, nation, and language, that speaks against their God shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because no other God can deliver like Jehovah. There is no one that God cannot use for His glory. As long as He sees your heart, He will meet you at the level of your desire. Seek God. Those who follow God will always see good things following them (Matthew 6:33).

Key Point: Who you follow determines what follows you.

Andrew Wommack 22 September 2018 Daily Devotional – The Two Greatest Commands

Topic: The Two Greatest Commands

Scripture: Matthew 22:36 “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.“

Text: Matthew 22:34-46

Jesus revealed that all of the Old Testament laws were designed to instruct us how to love God and love others. Therefore, the two commands that dealt directly with loving God and others (Lev. 19:18 and Dt. 6:5) were the most important.

Message: The religious leaders had become so obsessed with keeping every minor detail of the law that they had lost sight of its ultimate purpose. They neither loved God nor their fellow man, yet they thought they were keeping the law.

The same thing is happening today. Some of the cruelest acts of men towards their fellow men have been done in the name of the Lord by people who thought they were defending God’s holy commandments. However, if we violate one of the two greatest commandments in an effort to enforce some other commandment, then we are misapplying God’s Word just as these religious Jews did.

Andrew Wommack 22 September 2018 Daily Devotional – The Two Greatest Commands

The Old Testament law and the New Testament concept of grace compels men to the same end, that is to love God and their fellowmen. However, the motivations to this end are different. The Old Testament law motivated men to love God and their fellowman through fear of punishment if they failed to comply. The New Testament concept of grace freely gives men a God-kind of love that is unconditional and tells them to love others as they are loved.

It is possible to display actions of holiness, but not love God. It is impossible for God’s kind of love not to produce holiness. Holiness is a fruit and not a root of loving God.

Topic: When You See Jesus

Scripture: “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” Isaiah 6:1 (KJV)

Message: One thing is to be born again, but another thing is to truly see the Lord and what He has done on your behalf. There are many who are born again, but are yet to see Him as He is. The scripture declares that in the year king Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the Lord. That means Isaiah had been a prophet, called and anointed by God but had not seen Him. He has not come to terms with the God that called him and the God that was using him. God had to get Uzziah out of the way because Uzziah had become like a god to Isaiah. Thereafter, as soon as Uzziah was taken out of the way, his eyes were open for the first time to the God that called him.

TREM Daily Devotional 22 September 2018 – When You See Jesus

There are many of us believers that love God with all our heart but we’ve not truly seen Him because He is not reflected in the way we do things. Yes, you’re born again, you speak in tongues, you’re in church at all times but you have not really seen Him.

Imagine what happened to Isaiah after he beheld the Lord; he immediately realized his filth. He said to himself “…Woe is me!”, because he was then able to see himself in the light of God. “Woe is me, for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips…” In other words, he was not qualified to come before the Lord. At that point, an angel from God’s presence placed hot coal on his mouth, and declared that his iniquity had been taken away, and his sins purged. Immediately something happened to him. Guess what Isaiah’s response was to God’s grace and mercy? He immediately made himself available for the Master’s use.

TREM Daily Devotional 22 September 2018 – When You See Jesus

Beloved, when you see Jesus, everything else loses value. He becomes the center of your life’s endeavours. Nothing will be too big a price to pay for the sake of Jesus, because He paid the ultimate price for your sake.
