Top gospel artistes are to lift the soul of the popular cleric, and the General Overseer Worldwide of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his family and other well-wishers, as part of activities marking his 76th birthday on March 2.
The event with the theme: The Great Redeemer will also feature choral groups and singers from 16 countries. They will converge on the camp for the marathon praise sessions.
The celebration, which has always been held to honour the grace of God in the life of Pastor Adeboye since 2012, will, this year, feature a 76-hour Marathon Messiah Praise.
The Music Director of RCCG, Mr Kunle Ajayi said: “We are dedicating 76 hours out of the 8760 hours of the year to praise our God and to express our gratitude to God for His mercies over the life of our GO, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, and to usher in a new pattern of worship that will redefine the perspective of men to worship and praise in this dispensation.”
He added that the celebration would commence on February 26 and end on March 2.
The countries participating include; Nigeria, USA, Canada England, Australia, Spain, Scotland, UAE, Cameroon, Kenya, Netherlands, Sweden, Malaysia, South Africa and Ireland.
The saxophonist added that the event was a giant step to bring Marathon Messiah’s Praise to the doorstep of every living being on the planet and that it would hold in two stages, Nigeria and in the Diaspora. “The Nigeria stage will hold at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, while the Diaspora’s will be having 15 stages spread across the 15 participating countries outside Nigeria.
“The stage in Nigeria will host 76 hours of non-stop praise and worship, while the stages in the Diaspora nations will share the 76 hours among themselves and it will hold concurrently,” he said.
