Seeds of Destiny 17 Daily Devotional March 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche

TOPIC: The Virtues Of Praise And Worship

Scripture: And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever. – 2 Chronicles 20:21

Thought For The Day: When you pray, God hears, but when you praise, God moves.

It has been established that prayer focuses majorly on the needs of man while praise focuses on the need of God. When people pray, most times, they are trying to handle a need in their lives, but when they praise, the need of God is the focus.

This is why when you pray, God hears but when you praise, God moves. God hears prayers and moves in praise.

From our anchor scripture, we see that when the Israelites were surrounded by the inhabitants of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, Jehoshaphat did not appoint prayer warriors, rather, he appointed singers unto the Lord and they had victory in battle (2 Chronicles 20:20)

Many people are trying to move God with prayer, but it is praise that moves God. And that is not to undermine the place of prayers in any way. Pray as much as you can, and praise as much as possible.

Beloved, it is possible to pray amiss but it is never possible to praise amiss. It is possible for one’s prayer not to work, maybe as a result of unbelief, but it is never possible to praise amiss. When you do for God what He cannot do for Himself (that is, praising Himself), He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself.

Remember This: When you pray, God hears but when you praise, God moves.

1. Praise God, irrespective of the situation you find yourself per time.
2. Refuse to entertain any iota of doubt in your mind. Believe in God and His Word.

Prayer: O LORD, I praise You for who You are, what You have done and for what You are yet to do for me. I ask that You do for me what I cannot do for myself, in Jesus’ Name.
