THE leading stars in raunchy BBC drama Troy: Fall of a City have begun dating in real life after falling in love during their steamy sex scenes.
Bella Dayne, 28, and Louis Hunter, 25 – who play Helen of Troy and Prince Alexander in the historic epic – have been dating since they met on set last year.
The couple have tried to keep a their romance quiet, but it’s understood to have become an open secret among Troy’s cast and crew who saw their love affair develop while shooting the drama.
An insider said: “It was pretty obvious there was a passionate spark growing between the two of them – you could just tell by the way they looked at each other.
“There are quite a lot of very intimate sex scenes, and it would have been difficult not to have felt something. Not surprisingly, they didn’t look like they were having to do much acting.”
Bella, who has previously appeared in ITV2 comedy plebs and Channel 4 drama Humans, has been dividing her time between her home in London and her new boyfriend’s pad in Los Angeles
In the mythical Saturday night drama, Helen is the wife of a Greek king whose beauty seduces rival Trojan, Prince Alexander, and sparks a bloody war with Troy.
On Instagram Louis posted a picture of Bella, dressed as Helen, with the caption: “The woman that started it all…I mean…I get it!” In another post he even says: “Bella I love You.”
In the run up to Troy starting on the BBC last month, Louis talked about the extensive sex scenes.
He said: “Bella and I would discuss it and if we felt like it wasn’t necessary we would voice that and usually they would say, ‘Ok, let’s tone it down.’
“Then other times when we felt like it was necessary and part of the storytelling we would do it whole heartedly.”
Both Bella and Louis’ representatives declined to comment.
