A Knifeman was thrown off a getaway bike by brave do-gooders as he tried to flee from cops in a chase through a city centre.
Dramatic video shows Tarafdar knocked off his bike by a man in blue hooded top, while cycling towards a set of traffic lights.
He quickly picks himself off the ground and races off on foot, only to be knocked to the floor again by another man crossing the street.
When he was arrested he was found with a large knife in his back pack, Wales Online reports.
He admitted possession of the weapon at Cardiff Crown Court today.
Defending, Nia James told the court her client had a “significant difficulty with cannabis” and uses “a joint a day”.
He was also said to spend £10-a-day on crack cocaine.
Tarafdar, of no fixed address, was sentenced to six months in prison for the offence.
District Judge Bodfan Jenkins told him: “You had in your possession a particularly, if not highly, dangerous weapon in very dangerous circumstances.
“In the circumstances of the case, this clearly crosses the custody threshold. There can be no reason for suspending the sentence.”
