Topic: Overcoming Mountains

Memorise: Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Zechariah 4:7

Read: Matthew 21:19-22 (KJV) Open Heavens 11 April 2018

19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Bible in one year: Joshua 18-19, 2nd Thessalonians 1-2

MESSAGE: OPEN HEAVEN 11 APRIL 2018 WEDNESDAY DAILY DEVOTIONAL
There are several ways of dealing with mountains, and today we will be considering seven of these. The first option we will consider is to turn back. You can say that because a mountain is blocking your way to success, you will no longer move forward. This was the negative attitude of the children of Israel in Numbers 14:1-4.

The second way is to walk around the mountain, thereby wasting time and effort. For those who are born of God, going round a mountain is not an option. Our Father’s desire for us is to always move forward, in spite of what lies ahead of us. This is why He commanded Moses to charge the children of Israel to move forward, in spite of the Red Sea in front of them (Exodus 14:15). You will move forward today in Jesus’ Name.

The third way of dealing with mountains is to climb them. This may require a lot of effort but it is still better than going round in circles, and it is far better than going back.

The fourth way you can deal with a mountain is to bore through the mountain or dig a tunnel through it. when Moses lifted up his hands before the Red Sea, God caused the east wind to blow all through the night, and this created a way in the sea for the children of Israel to pass through (Exodus 14:21). Just as the east wind blew to create a road for the children of Israel through the sea, creating a tunnel through a mountain will require the assistance of the Holy Spirit.

The fifth way to deal with a mountain is to blast it out of the way. In Joshua 6:20, when the children of Israel came face-to-face with the wall of Jericho, the Lord instructed them to shout. They did, and not only did the wall fall, it was shattered and reduced to nothing. Indeed, God sent dynamite from heaven to blast the whole wall down.

The sixth way we can deal with mountains is to relocate them. In Mark 11:22-23, the Lord says that if you have faith in God, you can command a mountain to change its position or get out of your way, and it will obey you.

OPEN HEAVENS 11 APRIL 2018 WEDNESDAY BY PASTOR E.A. ADEBOYE

The seventh way of dealing with mountains is to fly over them. In this scenario, although the mountain is still there, you don’t want to turn back, neither do you want to walk around it, struggle to climb it or dig through it. Maybe you don’t want to blast it because you want to use it as a reference point in future, and you don’t even want to bother relocating it; all you want to do is to fly over it. According to Isaiah 40:31; the condition you need to fulfil for you to experience this great feat is to wait upon the Lord. Are you ready to wait upon the Lord? The good news is that this is the easiest way for you to deal with mountains, and it is at your disposal if only you can wait upon the Lord.

Action Point: Open Heaven 11 April 2018

To deal with any mountain before you, consider the seven ways of dealing with mountains we have discussed; choose an effective method from them and do what is required of you

Topic: Not your Subordinate

Memorise: And the LORD God said, it is not good that man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18
Read: 1st Peter 3:7-9 (KJV)
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

Bible in one year: Ecclesiastes 8-12, Mark 11:1-19 Hymnal: Sing hymn 17

Open Heavens 21 September 2018 Daily Devotional Message
The way some men relate with their wives is unbecoming of a child of God, some husbands deal with their wives like a highhanded boss would deal with an employee.

When one beholds such sights, one begins to wonder whether it was love that brought them together in the first place or something else. They talk to their wives as if their wives are nonentities. Husbands who behave in this manner do not understand the essence of a woman in a man’s life. Genesis 2:18 says it all:

“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone, I will make him an help meet for him.”

What led to this divine decision, seen in Genesis 2:20, is equally intriguing:

“And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.”

Open Heavens 21 September 2018 Daily Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye – Not your Subordinate

We need to note some points from these two scriptures, first of which is that as fearfully and wonderfully made as Adam was, he needed a helpmate, of which none was found amongst other creatures. God then decided to create a woman customised and tailored to meet this need. Secondly, men do not seek help from an inferior entity; at best, they look in the direction of an associate that is at least equal to their status. Thirdly, if Adam needed help, he required a quality helper to render it, and this was exactly what God provided. Therefore, any man who treats his wife as an inferior being does not know God and cannot appreciate God’s gift in the woman God has given him. This is an unfortunate situation. The word “weaker” used when describing women as vessels should not be taken to mean “inferior vessel”; rather, it is best interpreted as flexible vessels. Indeed, women are flexible, and they must be if they would serve the purpose for which they were created as helpmates of men. It is however unfortunate that some men take advantage of the flexible nature of women to extort and manipulate them. The consequence of this terrible act is seen in Malachi 2:14:

“Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife if thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.”

Furthermore, note that God is angry with domestic treachery and unfaithfulness. It has negative effects on your spirit and on the children of your union. If your marriage is experiencing difficulties, may God restore peace to it today in Jesus’ Name.

Andrew Wommack 20 September 2018 Daily Devotional

Andrew Wommack 20 September 2018 Daily Devotional

Topic: Heaven

Scripture: Mark 12:25 “For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.”

Message: The word heaven comes from the Greek word meaning “the sky; heaven as the abode of God”; by implication, “happiness; power; an eternity.”

Paul mentioned being caught up into “the third heaven” in 2 Corinthians 12:2. Since “the third heaven” exists, there must also be a first and second heaven. The first is probably the atmospheric heaven, the second, the abode of supernatural angelic beings, and the third, the place where God dwells.

Andrew Wommack 20 September 2018 Daily Devotional – Heaven

God now dwells in the hearts of His people, but He also sits on His throne in heaven. The Lord’s commitment to dwell in us and never leave us or forsake us, must be taken as an indication of His great love for us. Heaven has a real temple which is patterned after the Old Testament tabernacle. Saints who die go immediately into heaven and into the presence of God.

Paul had a vision of heaven that made him long to go there. Most people cling to this physical life for selfish reasons. Only when we lose our life (die to self and live for Christ and others) do we truly find out what life is all about. If we seriously thought about what the scriptures teach us about our life with Christ after this physical life, we would all think like Paul. The things prepared for us are so wonderful that we can’t totally comprehend them with our finite mind. We need to value our eternal life more and our temporal life less. This would solve many problems and remove a lot of grief.
