Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere returns to his boyhood club West Ham after signing a three-year deal .

Former Arsenal and England midfielder, Jack Wilshere has made a sensational move back to his boyhood club after signing a three-year deal.

The 26-year-old midfielder made the emotional decision to leave Arsenal last month after he was told by new Gunners coach Unai Emery that he was no longer in the Club’s plan.

After sealing the deal and passing his medicals, Wilshere told the club’s website: ‘It feels good, it feels special.’Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere returns to his boyhood club West Ham after signing a three-year deal .

‘Many people know that I’ve had a special bond with this club growing up.

‘People will have seen the picture of me in a West Ham shirt and I’ve got good memories of my childhood supporting West Ham, watching them at Upton Park. It feels good and of course my family and a few of my friends are West Ham fans so everyone’s buzzing.’

Jose Mourinho speaks on 3-0 win over Young Boys, Pogba’s performance in Champions League group match

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has said he fully understood why it took his team half an hour, to get going against Young Boys on Wednesday night.

United took the lead in their Champions League opener in emphatic style through Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman doubled the lead from the penalty spot before half, before Anthony Martial wrapped up the win in the 66th minute.

“I can understand the reasons we didn’t start the game very well. I can understand why it took us 20-25 minutes to be in control.

“I can understand why Young Boys pushed us back at the beginning, like they did against Dinamo Zagreb too.

“I think they know, and I can say it now the game is over, how difficult it is for opponents to play on this pitch (plastic). They created us with problems, but the goal changed everything and after that we were totally in control.

“It is really important for us to start with a victory,” Mourinho told reporters after the match.

Speaking on Pogba’s performance, Mourinho said: “He felt tired in the last part of the game but it was a good performance. Solid, class and gave the team the pace we needed at times. He controlled the tempo and of course it was a very good goal.

“The penalty showed personality too as sometimes when you miss one you have doubts but none for him.”

Mourinho also heaped praise on both full-backs – Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw.

“Both full-backs were very, very good. Very offensive and always eyes open. Very calm. Luke has been doing it since the start of the season and Diogo is one of the best young right-backs in Europe already. He is just 19 years old,” he said.

Champions League Update: Real Madrid, Manchester United win, Lyon stun Man City

Real Madrid began their quest to win the Champions League for a fourth time in a row, with a 3-0 win over Roma on Wednesday night.

The LaLiga giants, who lost Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, dominated proceedings at the Santiago Bernabeu, but only scored once in the first half through Isco’s lovely free-kick.

However, Gareth Bale and Mariano Diaz added more goals in the second half.

Manchester United thrashed Young Boys 3-0 in Switzerland, with Paul Pogba netting a brace, while Bayern Munich won 2-0 away at Benfica.

Lyon shocked Manchester City 2-1 at The Etihad and Ajax hammered AEK Athens 3-0.

Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo left the pitch in tears as he received a red card following an off-the-ball clash with an opponent during Juventus and Valencia clash on Wednesday night.

The 33-year-old flicked his boot at Jeison Murillo as they clashed together in the 29th minute and the defender fell to the floor. After Referee Felix Brych consulted with his colleague, he gave Ronaldo a red card, leaving the footballer in tears as he made his way down the tunnel.

The red card was Ronaldo’s 11th red card of his career but first in the Champions League.
