47-year-old American comedian and actor, Katt Williams was arrested Saturday in Portland, Oregon, on a misdemeanor assault charge.

Portland police said Williams assaulted a driver after an argument about transporting him and his dog to a performance at the Moda Center.

Williams was expected to appear in a live performance of the improv comedy show Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out. Police said the victim sustained minor injuries to the face, including swelling and cuts, that required treatment at a local hospital. Williams left in another vehicle, police said.

He was located and arrested Saturday morning in Portland on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. The stand-up and actor, whose legal name is Micah Sierra Williams, was lodged in Multnomah County Jail, where he remained in custody Saturday afternoon. He was also being held on a warrant from Georgia.
