Shaun Gregg, 42, pinned the victim down so that his brother Logan, 39, could rape her because he had not had sex recently.

He then did the same thing for his father, Paul, 62, on another occasion telling her to lie down and hold her hands above her heads.

Prosecutor Ieuan Bennett told Cardiff Crown Court that the offence happened in the mid to late 90s but only came to light when the victim saw another brother in a charity shop where she worked.

She broke down and confessed to a colleague and she finally plucked up the courage to come forward.

His lawyer said the attack took place when he was 19 and went on to live a law-abiding life.

Judge Michael Fitton QC said he was ‘arrogant’ when he gave evidence and showed an ‘entire lack of respect’ for the victim.

He told him: ‘You have shown no remorse for what you did.’

Logan Gregg had a lengthy criminal record which included 47 previous offences from assault occasioning actual bodily harm to theft.

He was an inmate at Channings Wood Prison when the victim came forward and was given another six years and six months.

He was 17 at the time of the rape. His lawyer Jenny Yeo said he had ‘no positive parental influence’.

Paul Gregg was found guilty of attempted rape and was jailed for four years and six months.

Judge Fitton noted the woman was vulnerable. He said: ‘She was a victim of much cruelty and violence in her youth.’

The court heard she had been raped as a teenager by another man in an unrelated incident.

In his sentencing remarks, Judge Fitton said: ‘None of you made any admissions. She had to go through the trauma of giving evidence at two trials.’
