Reflection
• What does the passage teach about God the Father, God the Son or God the Holy Spirit?
• Is there any example for me to follow or not to follow?

Outline: This Psalm is similar in form and length to Psalm 112 (May 30). While this one considers the greatness of God, the other focuses on the character of his godly people. It is an acrostic poem with each line starting with the Jewish alphabets. The psalmist begins by praising the Lord for many things. He praises the Lord because of his great works (v.2); his glorious and majestic deeds (v.3). He is gracious and compassionate (v.4); the works of his hands are faithful and just and his precepts or instructions are trustworthy (v.7).

The psalmist is full of praise to God for many things. Write down five things God has done for you this year for which you will take time to praise him from the depths of your heart. Read vv.6–8 again and note issues about Nations from each verse and see how it applies to your country. You may want to turn your discovery to prayer. V.10 is noteworthy. What is the condition for attaining wisdom? See Proverbs 1:7,20. Do you love the Lord and are you living by his commands, so you can attain good understanding of him and his creation?
