Bohemians vs Chelsea – Chelsea new boss Frank Lampard kicked off his reign at Stamford Bridge with a draw to Irish side, Bohemians in Dublin, on Wednesday, July 10.

Michy Batshuayi opened scoring for the Premier League side in the first eight minutes of the encounter from a stunning strike. But they Blues were unable to hold on to the victory till the end of the game as Eric Molloy’s 89th minute ensured the two sides shared the spoils.

Lampard fielded different set of players in either half, with both experienced players and youngsters making a bow under the legendary star.

The Blues dominated the match earlier in the game, finding their groove within eight minutes of game-play when Batshuayi after being set up by Kenedy.

They were also presented with a couple of other goal-scoring chances within the first half but failed to utilise the opportunities. However, Ethan Ampadu emerged the standout player in the middle of the park with his superb performances.

With a slim 1-0 lead at half-time, Lampard made 11 changes at the break, handing the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko and defender Kurt Zouma a chance to impress after loan spells last season.

Midfielders Lewis Baker and Billy Gilmour headlined the host of other youngsters who were paraded in the second half.

However, the changes made little or no impact as Bohemians grabbed the equaliser at the death through trialist Eric Molly to have the match finish 1-1.
