Manchester United lose opening Europa League tie to Feyenoord

Manchester United began their Europa League campaign this season, with a 1-0 defeat at Feyenoord on Thursday night.

Jonny Vilhena scored the only goal of the match in the 79th minute, as United put up a dismal performance in Rotterdam.

Manager Jose Mourinho, made eight changes to the team that lost 2-1 in the Manchester Derby last weekend and they struggled to impose themselves against the Eredivisie side.

The result means the Red Devils have now lost four European away games on the spin for the first time in their history.
