Angelina Jolie, 41, thought that she could protect her six children from all the drama surrounding her high-profile split from Brad Pitt, 52, by taking refuge in an ultra-luxe Malibu, California rental home, but she’s resorted to even more drastic measures to ensure their privacy. “Angelina has covered up all the ocean view windows of her Malibu hideaway with lawn furniture cushions so no one can see in or out,” a source revealed on Sept. 24. “She is paranoid and has barricaded herself, and the children, inside the compound.”
We can’t even imagine what she and her children are going through right now. As we previously reported, the Oscar-nominee has rented a $95,000/month, 4,409 square foot beachside property while dealing with the frenzy since she announced the couple’s separation on Sept. 19. As it was revealed on Sept. 21, the actress escaped to the home immediately after announcing her divorce. “Angelina is giving Brad, who has been in their home alone, space for him to move out or do whatever he needs to do while they deal with the beginning of their divorce,” a source told us at the time.
Angelina is seeking full custody of the six children. She’s cited poor parenting, alcohol and marijuana use (on Brad’s part) as her reasons. Still, sources close to Brad have stood by his side, calling him a “loving and devoted father.”
