The 55-year-old was said to have been suspected to be drink-driving Boughton, Chester, back in May 10 before being pulled over by cops for a road side test.
Saunders however initially denied the charges during his initial hearing, only to plead to guilty to the charges levied against him on Tuesday, August 27.

Apart from serving the jail term, Saunders has also be banned from driving for up to two and a half years upon his release from prison.
Saunders, who currently appears on talkSPORT as a pundit was further ordered to pay court costs of £620.
In the court ruling, the judge said the former Derby County and Aston Villa star considered himself ‘above the law’ and had shown ‘no real remorse.’
“They were seriously concerned you may cause an accident. You were stopped and failed to provide a breath specimen and continued with this obstructive and evasive conduct at the police station,” Mail Online quoted the judge.

The defense has since vowed to appeal the ruling against the sentence, arguing it was ‘excessive.’
