Germany crashes out of World Cup as they lose 0-2 to South Korea

Defending Champion Germany has unexpectedly crashed out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after losing their 3rd round group game to South Korea.

Goals by Kim Young-Gwon and Song Heung-Min were enough to drag the Germans with them out of the World Cup as South Korea had earlier lost their second match in the group.

The Germans almost took the lead at the 80th minute but the ball slips through the box. A chance for South Korea on the other, but the counter attack is wasted. But it was a shock for the German team after dominating the larger part of the game, to have conceded two goals in the additional minutes after full time.

American referee Mark Geiger was in the middle of this match. And surprisingly the Americans failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

In the other Group F match, Sweden defeated Mexico 3-0 to advance on top of the group, while Mexico also advanced thanks to the South Korean victory.
