Buhari bans inter-state travels

As part of new measures to curtail the spread of COVID19, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, announced restriction of inter-state pasanger travels.

This is coming after 28 days of federal government lockdown order in Federal Capital Territory, Lagos and Ogun States.

The President in his broadcast announced the easing of the lockdown, with effect from May 4.

He, however, introduced new sets of measures, which include night curfew.

He said, “There will be a ban on non-essential inter-state passenger travels until further notice.”

“There will be partial and controlled interstate movement of goods and services will be allowed from producers to consumers.”

Adding that “There will be an overnight curfew from 8pm to 6am. This means all movements are will be prohibited during this period except essential services.”
