Read Power Message By Pastor Joel Osteen  – Can Do” Power

We all face pressure in life and times when we feel overwhelmed: the obstacle looks too big, we never dreamed we’d be dealing with this sickness, we thought the trouble at work would end. It’s easy to feel as though we can’t take it anymore. But the Scripture says, “God will never let you face anything that you can’t handle. But He will also provide a way of escape, so you will be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13). When God designed you, He took into account everything you would face–every struggle, every unfair situation, every setback–and He put in you the strength, the courage, and the determination to withstand it.

When you feel as though the pressure is too much, it’s because you’re stronger than you think. You’ll never discover how strong you really are until you face pressure that you’ve never faced. It may seem unbearable, but the fact that God allowed it means you can handle it. He didn’t say He’d make a way of escape so you could run from it, but so you can “bear it.” You can look back at times when you didn’t think you could go on, the pressure seemed unbearable, but somehow it didn’t defeat you. You had the strength to keep going when you didn’t feel you had anything left. Why didn’t it break you? Because you were stronger than you thought. God wouldn’t have allowed you to get in that pressure if He hadn’t designed you to handle it. You will always be able to bear whatever comes your way.

When God designed you, He knew what pressures you would face: financial pressure, relationship pressure, raising children pressure, dealing with an illness pressure. If that pressure was going to crush you, God wouldn’t have put you there. He doesn’t make mistakes. Whatever you face, remind yourself that you can handle it. Now you have to get in agreement with God. If you go around thinking, “This is too much. I can’t raise these children. This pressure at work is overwhelming,” that’s going to defeat you.

The Scripture says you are full of “can do” power. You are well able to overcome opposition, to outlast adversity. But I’ve learned that “can do” power doesn’t do any good if you have a “can’t do” mentality. Quit looking at all the things you can’t do. Have a new perspective: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This obstacle may be big, but I can overcome it. This trouble is taking longer than I thought, but I can outlast it. This situation feels overwhelming, but I’m designed for it. I’m strong, I’m anointed, and I’m equipped.”

2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Joshua 10:8 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Proverbs 10:28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, thatye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Psalms 103:1-4 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

TOPIC: Be Content (1)

MEMORISE:
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” – (Hebrews 13:5)

READ: 1 Timothy 6:6-10 (KJV)
6. But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10. For the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

RCCG Holy Ghost Service March 2021 with Pastor E.A Adeboye

MESSAGE: Contentment is one major trait that you need in order to live a good life and finish the heavenly race successfully. The treasures of this world are a major tool in the hands of the devil to make Christians fall. Even though the devil knew that Jesus Christ was well aware of the mansions waiting for Him in heaven, he still tried to tempt Him with the glories of this world (Luke 4:5-7). That is the same way he tempts Christians even today. He will show you your neighbour’s new car and tell you that if you just steal a little money or cheat a client, then you can also buy that car. Your response should be that of Jesus in Luke 4:8:
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The only people who will fall into this trap of the devil are those who are not content with what they have. It is fine to want more, but be grateful to God for the little that you have now as you ask Him for more. Don’t put your attention on what you don’t have, rather, put it on what you do have. Don’t put your attention on what God has not given you, put it on what He has given you.

I have come to discover that when a person puts his attention so much on riches, they may eventually come, but at the expense of the fellow’s stand with God. David said in Psalm 37:4 that your delight should not be in the things of this world but in the Lord. Only then will He give you all that you desire.

Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. – Psalm 37:4

What is it that delights you? Is it having more money, buying new cars, travelling on vacation or is it the Lord? If your delight is in worldly things, the devil will present them to you in return for some compromises of your faith. Don’t compromise to get rich, it is not worth it. Matthew 16:26 says if you gain the entire world and lose your soul, you are at a loss. Proverbs 16:8 says:
Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

God wants you to prosper (3 John 2), so you don’t have to compromise your faith to be rich. It is better to be poor knowing that you are on your way to heaven than to be rich but on your way to hell.

KEY POINT:
When you are content with what God has given you and are grateful to Him, He will give you more.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Exodus 17-19

Reading 1, Genesis 37:3-4, 12-13, 17-18
3 Jacob loved Joseph more than all his other sons, for he was the son of his old age, and he had a decorated tunic made for him.

4 But his brothers, seeing how much more his father loved him than all his other sons, came to hate him so much that they could not say a civil word to him.

12 His brothers went to pasture their father’s flock at Shechem.

13 Then Israel said to Joseph, ‘Your brothers are with the flock at Shechem, aren’t they? Come, I am going to send you to them.’ ‘I am ready,’ he replied.

17 The man answered, ‘They have moved on from here; indeed I heard them say, “Let us go to Dothan.” ‘ So Joseph went after his brothers and found them at Dothan.

18 They saw him in the distance, and before he reached them they made a plot to kill him.

Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 105:16-17, 18-19, 20-21
16 He called down famine on the land, he took away their food supply;

17 he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave.

18 So his feet were weighed down with shackles, his neck was put in irons.

19 In due time his prophecy was fulfilled, the word of Yahweh proved him true.

20 The king sent orders to release him, the ruler of nations set him free;

21 he put him in charge of his household, the ruler of all he possessed,

Gospel, Matthew 21:33-43, 45-46
33 ‘Listen to another parable. There was a man, a landowner, who planted a vineyard; he fenced it round, dug a winepress in it and built a tower; then he leased it to tenants and went abroad.

34 When vintage time drew near he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his produce.

35 But the tenants seized his servants, thrashed one, killed another and stoned a third.

36 Next he sent some more servants, this time a larger number, and they dealt with them in the same way.

37 Finally he sent his son to them thinking, “They will respect my son.”

38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, “This is the heir. Come on, let us kill him and take over his inheritance.”

39 So they seized him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

40 Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?’

41 They answered, ‘He will bring those wretches to a wretched end and lease the vineyard to other tenants who will deliver the produce to him at the proper time.’

42 Jesus said to them, ‘Have you never read in the scriptures: The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this is the Lord’s doing and we marvel at it?

43 ‘I tell you, then, that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.’

45 When they heard his parables, the chief priests and the scribes realised he was speaking about them,

46 but though they would have liked to arrest him they were afraid of the crowds, who looked on him as a prophet.
