God has done His own duty through the redemption of man. The redeemed man or woman (a Christian) also owes God the duty to grow into the image of Christ (Hebrews 9:14). From our Fire Scripture for today (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14), the conclusion of the preacher is that the whole duty of a man is to fear God and obey his commandment. Solomon was an anointed king of Israel, a prophet of God. He was anointed by God to rule over Israel. He can be described as that man that saw it all and had it all. He had fame, prosperity, power, riches, wisdom, yet he died an unfulfilled man. He discovered later in his life that the whole essence of living is to fear God and obey his commandment; hence his counsel in our text. To fear God means to reverence Him, to love Him, to have faith in Him and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and to keep His commandments and be obedient to His will. This is the only thing that can make a man whole and perfect. Without the fear of God, man is nothing. Every child of God is chosen and called to follow Christ. We have been given all we need for life and godliness and have access to the riches of His grace. However, if the foundation of your life is not laid on the fear of God and obedience to His word, your life will become futile and your fellowship with God will not stand. All the material possessions, intelligence, popularity or fame you have will be meaningless. The only thing that can give you fulfilment in this life and the life hereafter is to fear God and obey His commands. It would amount to sin if we fail to follow God’s word which is a revealer of God’s mind to us as recorded in Micah 6:8. Doing His will equals to reverencing Him, because you cannot obey and reverence who you have no regards for. There is assurance of eternal life, strong confidence and divine security (Prov. 14:26-27). What could be richer than abundant life! May God humble our hearts to fulfil this one but all-encompassing duty to fear God! However, no man can fear God except by the help of the Holy Spirit. If you are not yet born again, surrender your heart today so that you can receive the presence of the Holy Spirit who alone can give you the grace and power to do so. Motivational Quote: The fear of God is an antidote to a life of futility and vanity. Prophetic Word: Receive the fear of God that makes the difference in a man’s life, in the name of Jesus. HYMN: The Comforter Has Come 1. O Spread the tidings ’round, Where ever man is found, Where ever human hearts And human woes abound; Let ev’ry Christian tongue proclaim the joyful sound; The Comforter has come! Chorus Holy Ghost from Heav’n, The father’s promise giv’n; O spread the tidings round, wherever man is found The comforter has come 2. The long, long night is past, The morning breaks at last, And hushed the dreadful wail And fury of the blast, As o’er the golden hills the day advances fast! The Comforter has come! 3. Lo, the great King of kings, With healing in His wings, To ev’ry captive soul a full deliv’rance brings; And thro’ the vacant cells the song of triumph rings; The Comforter has come! PRAYER POINTS: MORNING 1. Father, teach me to walk in Your fear, in the name of Jesus. 2. Let the fear of God be the foundation of my decision in life, in the name of Jesus. 3. Father, help to yield myself as a servant to obey Your word, in the name of Jesus. EVENING: 4. My Father, let the Spirit of fear of God be activated in my life afresh, in the name of Jesus. 5. MFM Daily Devotional 15 May 2021 Outline

Jesus Christ, our Saviour, humbled Himself in so many ways. If you are a good reader of the Bible, there were so many occasions that Jesus was provoked by enemies in the Pharisees and Saducees and yet He never uttered any word of anger against any of them.

He was King, yet He came in human form and never made claim to any royalty. He never slept in any different place from His disciples; they had everything common, ate the same food, wore the same clothes, mingled together, that it took a Judas to point Him out of the council. What other example do we need to show that humility is the way to go?

As a true Christian, humility is the first thing people see in you: the way you talk, the way you relate with people, the way you carry yourself. It is true that action speaks louder than words. To be the child of God that you are without pretense, humility must be clearly written on you.

But what do we have or see today, anyone with any little achievement will begin to behave in a manner unbefitting of a true child of God. Beloved, God is in need of humble people. He needs men like Moses that He can clearly beat His chest for and fight for (Number12: 2 –13). Moses was a shining example of humility.

That is why God’s anger rose against Aaron and Miriam on account of their rebellion against Moses.

Beloved, humility will make you the apple of God’s eye. It will make life easy for you. God is waiting for you. Come to Him today

Memory verse
Phil. 2:7 – “But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.”

Motivational Quote
Humility will make you the apple of God’s eyes.

Prophetic Word
Let every garment of pride upon your life catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

Whither, pilgrims, are you goingl

1. Whither, pilgrims, are you going,
Going each with staff in hand?
We are going on a journey,
Going at our King’s command,
Over hills and plains and valleys,
We are going to His palace,
We are going to His palace,
Going to the better land;
We are going to His palace,
Going to the better land.

2. Tell us, pilgrims, what you hope for
In that faroff, better land?
Spotless robes, and crowns of glory,
From a Saviour’s loving hand,
We shall drink of life’s clear river,
We shall dwell with God for ever,
We shall dwell with God for ever,
In that bright, that better land,
We shall dwell with God for ever,
In that bright, that better land

1. Anything in my life that will remove me from the place of grace, come out and die, in the name of Jesus.
2. My Father, come and heal my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. Power of the flesh, loose your hold upon my life, in the name of Jesus.

4. I receive power to mount up with wings as eagles, in the name of Jesus.
5. I shall not die in the camp of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
6. I bind and cast out every unteachable spirit, in the name of Jesus.
7. My Father, take me under Your wings for sound victory, in the name of Jesus.
