Today’s devotional centers on the power to obtain breakthroughs. God is the author of breakthroughs.Once the Almighty grants you access to breakthrough, your story will never be the same again. God’s promises are real. Prayer giants knew the promises of God. Their prayers were based on God’s promises and that was what made them effective.
Some people are fond of confessing the promises of God without turning the confessions into prayers. There is no substitute for prayer. God’s promises are to fuel the fire of our prayers to make them achieve the impossible. Prayer is the battle! The battle against a child of God in the invisible realm can be somewhat overpowering. For twenty-one days, the angel of God sent to bring an answer to the prayer of Daniel was hindered by a prince of darkness. A battle that costs an angel of God a great deal of time must have been a serious matter indeed. Victory would not have been won if Daniel had given up.
A single battle with only one prince of darkness took Daniel twenty-one days of fasting and praying. A faint hearted child of God might not have been able to withstand the spiritual battle which Daniel fought on his knees and won. You must be persistent! Prayer is the weapon that can break through the heavenlies and release the intervention of angels. The devil’s agenda is to make the believer’s heaven brass so that God’s blessings cannot reach him. Prayer has the power to shatter every satanic network in the invisible realm and generate the release of heavenly blessings.
Jacob’s unyielding encounter with the angel has provided great lessons for serious Bible readers. He remains an example of persistence and aggression in prayer. To experience your breakthroughs, you must never give up until you receive your heart’s desire.
