MFM Daily Devotional for 13 April 2022 Wednesday MESSAGE

When God created man originally, He intended that man should live forever, but when satan beguiled man and made him to sin, man was driven away from the garden of God. As a result of the sin, sickness and death came into the world. Since then man has been dying and so many have died untimely.

When Jesus came, he knew man could die before his time. The fact that Jesus raised people from the dead and gave others the power to do so shows that people sometimes die untimely.

All the people Jesus raised from the dead were young people. Lazarus was a young man and had not lived out his days before he died. It is very sad to note that nowadays, young people are dying at an alarming rate and God is very sad about this.

Today, graveyards are full of unfulfilled destinies: writers who died with their books, visions that never saw the light of day, billionaires that never counted their wealth, doctors that were aborted suddenly, ministers and pastors that never manifested their full blown glory, and so on.

Dearly beloved, if you look critically at our Fire Scripture, you will discover that the death of the son of the widow of Nain was untimely. Death is universal; it is a debt that everyone owes and shall definitely pay. But dying when one’s parents or older ones are still alive is untimely death and must not be taken lightly. (MFM Daily Devotional for 13 April 2022)

The young son of the widow of Nain was a fatherless boy. The burden on the mother was much as a widow. Yet, the devil came and snatched him away from the mother to compound the woman’s sorrow. Untimely death is not a delight to God’s heart; as a result, Jesus raised so many from the dead.

Beloved of the Lord, Jesus is the power against untimely death. If you receive Him into your life and make Him your Lord and Saviour, untimely death will not come near your dwelling place. In Jesus, you will have the life of God, abundant life and eternal life.

Run to Jesus, the One who swallowed death in victory, today!
