Fire Scripture:
Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Surely you know the truth.
Surely you have heard.
The Lord is the God who lives forever!
He created all the faraway places on earth.
He does not get tired and weary.
You cannot learn all he knows.
29 He helps tired people be strong.
He gives power to those without it.
30 Young men get tired and need to rest.
Even young boys stumble and fall.
31 But those who trust in the Lord will become strong again.
They will be like eagles that grow new feathers.
They will run and not get weak.
They will walk and not get tired.

MFM Devotional for 3rd September 2023 MESSAGE:

We are still looking into the period of waiting upon the Lord and the amazing benefits of this unique spiritual experience for those who can persevere.

The latter part of the fire scripture tells us that waiters receive uncommon strength to run and walk without being weary nor fainting. This is awesome! How can a man run and not get tired, or walk a long distance and not feel like fainting? This can only be God!

The running and walking here are still connected with the travails during the waiting period. It then means that the strength with which you are running or walking is definitely not your human strength. No wonder the Bible says that man cannot prevail in his own strength, according to our memory verse.

Imagine the ups and downs experienced by David before he ascended the throne. If he was not relying on divine strength, he would have been frustrated or even discouraged about becoming king. Rather, he kept hoping in the Lord against all hopeless situations before him.

What of Joseph? It comes so easy to refer to his story of going from prison to the palace. In reality, it takes some patient waiting, looking forward to when there will be light at the end of the dark tunnel.

Moses took a strange course on Remedial Waiting in the Midian Desert when he was with Jethro, undergoing his spiritual preparation and character moulding from the Almighty God Himself. Humanly speaking, he had no idea of when his change would come. But blessed be God, he encountered the Burning Bush and the call of God.

Beloved, I counsel you not to lean on your own understanding. Trust in the Lord, acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. He will strengthen your feet and you’ll leap over the wall and run through the troops with ease. No struggle, because the Lord is your strength. Receive the grace to wait and you shall testify, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING
1. Powers calling me to the tail region, you are liars, fail woefully, in the Name of Jesus.
2. I shall not be exhausted or frustrated on my way up, in the Name of Jesus.
3. O God, arise and judge the enemies of my next level, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. Power to run through the troop and leap over the wall unhurt, possess me now, in the Name of Jesus.
5. O God my Father, arm me with strength and secure my way, in the Name of Jesus.
6. I overcome all my struggles by the power of God, in the Name of Jesus.
7. Arise, O God and let my adversaries know that they are mere men, but You are the Almighty, in the Name of Jesus.
