TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: Acts 13:6-12; Matthew 24:11; Psalm 119:11

ODM DEVOTIONAL 14th APRIL 2021 MESSAGE

Beloved, too many Christians have fallen prey to dubious men in the name of prophecy, prophetic actions, deliverance and miracles. Too many people have lost their money, properties, salvation, their lives, and God in their search for miracles. If you are not studious, you will fall for the dubious. Some bizzarre videos made their appearance on social media recently. In one of the videos, a prophet from Ghana was sucking the tongue of a female member of his congregation for several minutes in the name of deliverance. Wow!

Another pastor claimed that his legs must not touch the ground when he was preaching and stood on the backs of his members, who were made to bend over. Another pastor shaved the pubic hair of a female member of his congregation LIVE on camera, in the name of deliverance. These are the dubious that are having a field day over a crowd of unstudied (lazy) Christians. These are the false prophets that the Bible already warned us about, as a sign of the end times. In Acts 13:6-12, there is the story of a confrontation between Apostle Paul and Elymas, the sorcerer. The intention of Elymas was to turn the heart of the deputy away from the faith.

False prophets/teachers are not interested in your spiritual growth or making heaven. They are only interested in capturing your heart, so that they can manipulate you to their own advantage, even if it means losing your salvation and missing heaven. Thıs is why they can do things with no Biblical basis such as: Sucking the tongue of a female member(open kissing), standing upon members and shaving the pubic hair of females as deliverance. There was another one that preached with and prayed with a big snake during services! John MacArthur once said: Satan is most effective in the church when he comes. Not as an open enemy but as a false friend.

Not when he persecutes the church but when he joins it. Not when he attacks the pulpit but when he stands on it.” Some of these men represent satan operating as false friends/prophets on the pulpit. And they can turn you away from the faith, Just as Elymas intended to do to the deputy. And apart from losing your money, properties and dignity, you can be used for rituals to enable them get more satanic powers. And you can also lose your glory if care is not taken. Stop jumping from church to church in search of miracles! 2 Timothy 2:15 says: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, righty dividing the word of truth.”

This is God’s antidote for the false prophets of our time. STOP PROCRASTINATION OR LAZINESS! Study and know the Bible for yourself, because if you are not studious, you will fall for the dubious. Our Daily Manna 14th April 2021 Manna Online Devotional
