Open Heaven Monday 18th January 2021 Devotional By Pastor E.A Adeboye

TOPIC: MCY: Bitterness

MEMORISE:
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” – (Matthew 6:14)

READ: Mark 11:23-26 (KJV)
23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

We have been treating the “Mathematics of Christ In You’” (MCY) since January 11. The ‘B’ in our equation for Resistance stands for Bitterness. If you refuse to forgive those who have offended you, you are only multiplying your suffering because the fellow who offended you is going on with his or her life yet you are suffering spiritually. It is like stopping to rant at someone who sped past your car at a traffic light. You are only delaying yourself further. I quickly forgive those who offend me because I don’t want to get myself into trouble. I cannot allow bitterness to disconnect me from God. Hebrews 12:15 says:
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Unforgiveness can defile you and lead to some very serious sicknesses too. There was a man who was bloating. The doctors could not find anything wrong, so he came to the Church. God revealed that the man had some restitution to make. We eventually found that this man chose not to forgive his son-in-law. When he was going to give out his daughter in marriage, he made the young man promise to take good care of her. Unfortunately, the boy started beating the wife. Her father pleaded with him but things only got worse. One day, the husband fired a gun at his wife but missed narrowly. That was when the man asked his daughter to leave finally; however he swore to never forgive the boy and to deal with him.

The man was told that he had to forgive, and in fact, according to Matthew 18:15, he had to be the one to go to the son-in-law. The man went because he wanted to be healed. As he reached his son-in-law’s house, the young man tried to escape. The man however said “I have not come to fight, I have come to beg you. I have forgiven you and I want you to do the same”. As they hugged and wept, the man who had been bloated suddenly reduced in size to such an extent that his wedding ring dropped from his finger to the ground. He was healed!

Forgive, so you can be free.

Open Heaven Sunday 17th January 2021 Devotional Action Point:
Stop punishing yourself; forgive everyone who has offended you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Deuteronomy 17-20

HYMNAL:
HYMN 28 – WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear;
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!

2. Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear;
All because we do not carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer.

3. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer!

4. Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our ev’ry weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

5. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer!

6. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

Joel Osteen 2 March 2021 Daily Devotional Message for Today

Topic: Look Up and Listen

Today’s Scripture
Luke 21:28, NKJV – Look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

Today’s Word with Joel Osteen 2 March 2021 Daily Devotional

Hebrews 12:1 says that seeing we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us run the race that is set before us. Can I tell you, all of heaven is cheering for you? You are not running alone. Heaven’s grandstands are packed with people who believe in you. Jesus says that when you’re discouraged and tempted to give up, look up and by faith hear the cheers from the heavenly saints.

Imagine every morning if you received a personal text from Abraham, Sarah, David, Moses, Ruth, or Noah. When you woke up each day, there was a message telling you how much they believe in you and how you are well able to make it. After all that these heroes of the faith went through, their words carry some weight. If you could hear them, they’re saying, Stay encouraged. Victory is coming. Favor is coming. We made it, and you’re going to make it. God did it for us; He’s going to do it for you.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for the heroes of faith whose lives help show me how to live for You and who are cheering me on from heaven today. Thank You for their messages of perseverance and overcoming hardships. Help me to look up and listen and draw strength for my race. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Daily Hope with Rick Warren Devotional 2 March 2021 Today’s Message

Topic: How Do I Know I’m Saved?

Today’s Scripture: “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

Daily Hope with Rick Warren Devotional 2 March 2021 Message:

In Luke 23:42, one of the criminals hanging next to Jesus on the cross prayed, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom” (NIV).

By that time, Jesus was famous for doing miracles. But notice the man didn’t ask Jesus to stop his pain, although he would have been in excruciating pain. He didn’t ask Jesus to save him from death either.

He said, “Jesus, remember me.” Why? Because he knew his deepest need was salvation from sin and a home in heaven. And he believed Jesus could provide it.

The Bible says in Acts 16:31, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (NIV).

So how do you know for sure that you’re saved from sin? How do you know you’re going to heaven when you die? How can you be certain? How can you eliminate your doubt?

Your assurance of salvation doesn’t come from what you do, because you can’t earn your salvation. It’s not from your feelings, because feelings come and go.

So what can make you sure of your salvation? The promise of God’s Word. If God says it, that settles it, because God cannot lie. You can trust the promise of God’s Word. You can rest in it.

Jesus replied to the criminal hanging on the cross, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43 NLT). Your assurance of salvation is the same: God promises you will be in heaven with him one day if you believe in faith.

Seeds of Destiny 2 March 2021 Devotional – Relationship Affects Destiny

Seeds of Destiny 2 March 2021 Devotional Guide By Dr. Paul Enenche

TOPIC: Relationship Affects Destiny

SCRIPTURE: Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Relationships can either bring you acceleration or establish your stagnation.

Seeds of Destiny 2 March 2021 Devotional Message:

It has been confirmed that the right relationship is key to destiny fulfilment. Your relationship can either make or mar your life and destiny.

Now, I will like you to take note of these three key thoughts on relationships:

i. Relationships can either bring you acceleration or establish your stagnation (Genesis 13:14)

There are people who entered your life and your life shifted; and there are those who hung around you and you are stagnated. For example, until Lot left Abraham, Abraham’s destiny couldn’t open up (Gen. 13:14). That is why it is very important to observe and pray well before you marry someone or get into any relationship.

There are people whose best days in life were the days before their marriage. That will not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

ii. Relationship can contribute to your preservation or facilitate your destruction

The wrong relationship can kill a person physically. A person can die prematurely because of being found with the wrong people at the wrong place. There are those who have died other people’s death, and others have lost properties because of wrong associations (Jonah 1:5). But that will never be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

iii. Relationships can never leave you neutral

Your relationship is either adding something to you or taking something from you. Your relationship will either sharpen your life (Proverbs 27:17) or leave you blunt. No one relates with you on a neutral ground; everyone either adds or takes something from you.

Beloved, make up your mind to engage wisdom in relationship if you want to reach your future.

Remember this: Relationships can either bring you acceleration or establish your stagnation.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Give attention to your relationships in order to have a buoyant destiny. Relate carefully.

2. Make up your mind to engage in profitable relationships.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You give me quality and productive relationships that will facilitate my destiny fulfilment, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: Imbibe the character of self-control even in your relationship with people other than your husband. Discipline ensures an effective home building for you as a woman. Culled from “10 SUCCESS STRATEGIES FOR RELATIONSHIP” by Dr (Mrs) Becky Enenche.

DAILY READING: 2 Samuel 5-8.

AMAZING FACT: Eagles have one mate for life. When eagles choose a partner, it’s “Till death do us part”. Eagles are monogamous species.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Grace to escape the wrong/disastrous relationship is released for you in Jesus’ Name.
