Ray J Defends Diddy Amid Prostitution Case, Says ‘Freak-Offs’ Were Consensual
Singer and entrepreneur Ray J has publicly defended Sean “Diddy” Combs, downplaying the federal charges leveled against the music mogul and insisting the allegations are being blown out of proportion.

Speaking during an appearance on TMZ Live on Wednesday, July 2, Ray J claimed Diddy’s actions were part of consensual adult encounters and should not result in jail time.

“Diddy was involved in consensual freak-offs. That shouldn’t be a reason to lock him up,” Ray J stated, pushing back on prosecutors’ claims that Diddy poses a violent threat to society.

Despite Ray J’s optimism that Diddy would be released and flying to Miami by day’s end, a judge denied bail, ordering that Combs remain in federal custody until his October sentencing.

Ray J also suggested the trial serves as a “lesson learned” but shouldn’t deter others from engaging in similar behaviors, even involving drugs and sex workers. He warned the case could spark more unverified accusations against wealthy public figures.

His comments align with those of rapper Boosie Badazz, who alleged that the charges are part of a targeted effort to bring down successful Black men through selective prosecution.

While Diddy awaits sentencing, Ray J advised him to temporarily retreat from public life and hand over control of his business empire to his sons, who continue to stand by him. Ray J also revealed he’s been promoting Diddy’s music, saying, “I’ve been up since 8 AM keeping Diddy’s streams up.”
