Scripture Union Daily Guide 12 November 2024 – OUTLINE
The Psalmist notes here that God presides over every assembly. He is the ultimate judge of every situation. He knows the operations of the unjust and defends the weak and fatherless against the wicked. We should be certain of these attributes of God and build our implicit trust on Him no matter the negative responses we may get from various quarters.
He remains relevant to our situations as a mighty warrior. See Jeremiah 20:11. God warns the wicked to desist from their unrighteous ways and reminds them of their fate if they refuse to heed His warning. What are the character traits of the wicked as seen in v.5? See also 2 Peter 2:17, Jude 1:12.
The Psalmist finally cries out to God to take His position over all the earth and be not silent anymore. We need to cry out as well for God’s intervention on the unjust treatment and persecution of Christians all over the world. May He take His place as the ultimate judge and vindicate His people.
