SCRIPTURE: Psalm 55:1-23

SU DAILY GUIDE FOR TODAY 26TH SEPTEMBER 2023 MESSAGE:
What is your reaction when you are overwhelmed by burdens that would not go away? Burdens come in various shapes and sizes. How would you describe the physical, mental, and emotional state of David (vs.1-8)? Notice his response to his situation. How would you react in similar circumstance? Is running away a viable option?
The Psalmist bares his soul to God. In his anguish, all he wanted to do was to fly away to a secluded place, had he wings. Be real with God. Tell him how you feel. Cast your burden on Him. Note how David does this in vs.9-14. There is hope for the one who puts his trust in God (vs.15-23). We are more than conquerors through Christ (Romans 8:37).
Life can be tough and confounding, but that is no reason to give up. Rest assured that you have a God to whom you can cry when your world is falling apart (Psalm 46:1).
