Dunamis SOD TOPIC:Â Increasing the Intensity of God’s Presence
SCRIPTURE: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God’s Presence is key to life and destiny fulfilment.
The Presence of God is an indispensable necessity in the life and destiny of the child of God. God’s Presence is key to life and destiny fulfilment.
The phrase … from glory to glory … in our anchor Scripture talks about levels and dimensions in the glory. It is about moving from one weight of the glory to another weight of the glory.
As it is with God’s glory, so it is with His Presence. There are levels and dimensions of God’s Presence that individuals carry. It is therefore, possible to move from a degree of intensity of God’s Presence to a higher degree of intensity of His Presence.
There is a perpetual need to shift in the intensity of His Presence from time to time.
I went to a city one day and the Holy Ghost spoke to me. He mentioned a word that I had never heard before at that time. It was an English word, and He said that, that was the climate over the city. I told my wife about what the Spirit of God told me concerning that city. I had to look up that word in the dictionary to find out what the meaning was. And when I saw the meaning in the dictionary, it was the exact description of what I could feel physically about that city.
You see, pastors are fully aware that the spiritual atmosphere or climate of some congregation is as thick and dense as the ground, as solid as a concrete floor, and as hard as metal. No matter how much of yourself you pour out while ministering, such climates would yield no positive result because the ground is not receptive.
But there are some places you go, and under five minutes, you can feel God’s Presence. That is why we need to shift in dimensions of His Presence. We need to tell God, “Lord, I have experienced a level of Your Presence but I need to shift to a higher level.”
My counsel is, make up your mind to shift in dimensions of God’s Glory and Presence.
REMEMBER THIS: The Presence of God is key to fulfilling destiny.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Make up your mind to shift from one intensity of God’s Presence to a heavier intensity of His Presence.
- Make up your mind to pay the price of tarrying with God to carry His intense Presence.
PRAYER: LORD, I ask for a heavier intensity of Your Presence on my life. Give me the grace to tarry in Your Presence Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
