SCRIPTURE: …and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. Exodus 3:2-3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When fire comes upon you, you become a city set on a hill that cannot be hid.
Seeds of Destiny 8th October 2023, SOD MESSAGE:
Many years ago, John Wesley in his days, was kicked out of the Church of England because he was considered a heretic. So, he decided to take his pulpit, placed it on his father’s tomb and began to preach. Literally like saying, ‘Nobody can drive me from my father’s graveyard’. It was amazing how crowds in their thousands gathered around his father’s graveyard listening to his preaching. They left the church to the graveyard just to hear him. People asked him, “How is that people are not going to church, but they are coming to hear you preach at the graveyard of your father?”
He said, “I set myself on fire and people come to watch me burn.” They went to watch the ‘Burning Bush’.
A child of God on fire is a generational attraction. When fire comes upon you, you become a city set on a hill that cannot be hid. No one prints invitation cards for people to come and see where something is burning; people gather effortlessly. When a church is on fire, the crowd is attracted. When a child of God is on fire, he becomes a centre of attraction. So, the problem is not whether the church or the child of God is in the wilderness or in the city centre; anywhere God places you, if that is your location, your allocation will meet you there.
Beloved, if you want to impact your generation, set yourself on fire, spend time with the Consuming Fire at the place of prayer, study of the Word and worship, and no one can claim ignorance of your existence.
I decree that the fire that is coming upon your life will make you a compelling and irresistible attraction to your generation.
REMEMBER THIS: When fire comes upon you, you become a city set on a hill that cannot be hid.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
- Take time to dwell in the presence of the Consuming Fire.
- Soak your spirit and mind with the Word of God daily.
- Do not struggle to know people; know God and people will look for you.
PRAYER: Lord, I need more fire. Set my heart aflame. I want to be a flaming arrow in Your Mighty Hands in this end time. Use me for Your Glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
