TOPIC: Avoid Pride
SCRIPTURE: Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: People have died before their time because of pride.
Seeds of Destiny Daily Devotional 20 July 2023 MESSAGE:
Sometime ago, I assisted one of my classmates who was about to get married.
My first daughter, at the time was almost 17 years old, and here was my classmate only about to get married.
And with all excitement, I did not know when I wrote a 6-figure cheque to assist him. What I had in mind initially, I doubled it. That was to show appreciation to God for His help for my life and also to lift my friend to the level I had been for years.
In those days when we were in class, it was not written on the forehead of anyone what the person would become in life. Only God knew what a person would become.
So, if you raise your shoulder in pride, God can kill you. If you behave as though you are responsible for your success, you can crash or even die. People have died before their time because of pride.
Therefore, always remember where you are coming from.
Jesus says:
Without me you can do nothing (John 15:5).
The way to reach where God wants to take you to is to always remember where He brought you from. The grace to deal with pride and fulfil destiny is released on you now, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Remember this: People have died before their time because of pride.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You because of where I am today. I receive the grace to be humble, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
