Eight people have been injured after two gunmen opened fire outside a mosque in France last night.
The shooting, which occurred in the southern city of Avignon, is not believed to be terrorist-related, police have said, adding the mosque was not the intended target.
The shooting came as the new French government prepares to extend a state of emergency that has been in place since Islamic extremist attacks in 2015, citing continued threats.
