Solving Marriage Issues: Love is not proud, does not envy

If you love your spouse, you will always think the best about him or her.

In the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4 (NKJV): Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up.

Most times we claim to love someone without really understanding the implication of our confession.

Love is a commitment. Love is beyond the butterfly feeling in your stomach when you first met.

You cannot claim to love your spouse and speak or plan evil against him or her. If you love your spouse, you will always think the best about him or her.

Loves moves you stand as the best source of inspiration to your spouse. You don’t put them down when they make a mistake.

It is not love, when you leave your spouse dejected and battered with your words for something he/she did wrong, or because you are angry.

Prayer:

Father, please help me love my spouse unconditionally.

Action Point:

1. Clear your heart of any grudge.

2. Pray for your spouse and those who hurt you. Praying constantly for them, will unleash God’s love in your heart.
