TOPIC: Dream Interpreters
FOCUS SCRIPTURE: “And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.” (Genesis 37: 8)
Streams of Joy Devotional 1 December 2022 MESSAGE
When Joseph told his dream to his brothers, they asked him if he was indeed going to reign over them. Joseph only told his dream, he didn’t give it a meaning, he didn’t bother to interprete the dream, he didn’t say what would happen if the dream came to pass; but after he told the dream, his brothers gave an interpretation to it. His brothers gave the idea of how his dream would work.
The same brothers who hated him for his dream turned around to give his dream an interpretation. His haters gave expression to his dream. The same people who felt threatened by his dream gave it an interpretation. The same people who did not want the dream to work now gave an idea of how it will all play out. Joseph’s dream was interpreted for him freely.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: people will freely interprete your dream. Even your haters shall interprete your dream. People will make contributions that will give expression to your dreams and visions. People will help you to advertise your ideas; people will take it upon themselves to bring you more clients; people will take it upon themselves to help your enterprise to blossom beyond your current borders; the moment you start working your dream, you will be amazed at how people will make it work better and better for you.
Joseph did not beg his brothers to interprete his dream, but they interpreted it for him. People gave him free interpretation for his dream. God says, some people will arise on their own to help your dream find expression; you may not have to beg them, but they will take it upon themselves to make your dreams work. They will see your dream and begin making contributions.
Joseph told his dream before anyone interpreted it for him. If you keep your dreams under lock and key, no one will interprete it for you. No one will patronize an enterprise that has not even begun. No one will come for your dream until you work it. Speak your dream, work your dream, and God will send you dream interpreters.
Isaiah 60: 10 says: “And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.”
DECLARATION: I receive men who will freely interprete my dreams, in Jesus’ name!
