TOPIC: You Will Be Preferred
FOCUS: “And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.” (1 Kings 1: 32)
It is instructive to note that Solomon was not the eldest son of David at the time of his enthronement as king of Israel. He had an elder brother in Adonijah. Solomon was even a child, according to bible history, but he was preferred to sit on the throne of David. What others would have wanted to labour for, was given to Solomon on a platter of grace. What others could have fought for was simply given as a gift to Solomon.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: like Solomon, you will be preferred. You will be chosen. Heaven will rule in your favour. You will be considered first. By favour and grace, you will be given thrones and crowns that people ahead of you are contesting for. By favour and grace, you will be positioned on levels that people ahead of you are currently desiring. By favour and grace, you will be planted in your high places, ahead of your superiors.
A vacancy was about to emerge in the kingdom of Israel, and in what was clearly unprecedented, Solomon was put on the throne even while David was still alive. The vacancy in Israel was reserved for Solomon. Hear me as I hear the Lord: vacancies in high places are emerging, and by the favour of God, they will be reserved for you. It may seem too early for you to sit on the throne, or wear the crown, but it has been reserved for you.
While Adonijah was scheming to be king, and getting men to support his evil and ill-advised move, God raised men who did what needed to be done in order for Solomon to be enthroned. God used men who were even ahead of Solomon, to position him on the throne. Hear me as I hear the Lord: men ahead of you will become messengers to position you on your throne. God will raise men that will take you to the throne early.
Welcome to that season where you will be preferred ahead of those who ordinarily should be ahead of you. Welcome to that season where you will sit on the throne and wear the crown early.
Psalm 90: 14 says: “O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”
DECLARATION: My thrones and crowns will come ahead of time; I will be preferred, in Jesus’ name!
