DCLM Daily Manna 14 February 2018 Devotional – Pastor W.F. Kumuyi

Topic: Beware of God’s Judgment

Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 11:7-10 – DCLM Daily Manna 14 February 2018

Key Verse: “Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment” (Ecclesiastes 11:9).

Message: Sitting morosely on the pavement of the church main building, Kenneth looked like a shadow of his old self. Here was a young man who, a few years back, was full of life, living and behaving as if there was not going to be tomorrow. He was given to alcohol, women and despicable night life. He scorned at preachers, called them unprintable names. He scoffed at every warning and advice. DCLM Daily Manna 14 February 2018. He would say his life belonged to him and that no one should tell him how to live it. But today he is as thin as a broom stick, sick of HIV/AIDS and waiting … while the clock ticks.

The passage under consideration warns us, youths in particular that we must beware of the ‘days of darkness’ in spite of the sweetness of the light. God has given us all things to enjoy while we live on this side of heaven. But our enjoyment and rejoicing must be moderated by the inescapable fact that God holds everyone accountable for what they do in the process.

DCLM Daily Manna 14 February 2018 Devotional – Beware of God’s Judgment

People live their lives today as if it belongs to them in absolute terms and consequently do not remember God, their Creator. They engage in cult practices: they murder innocent children for ritualistic, money-making purposes. DCLM Daily Manna 14 February 2018. With the ill-gotten wealth, they live in adultery, fornication and multiple marriages. These attract God’s wrath: “know thou, that for all these things, God will bring thee into judgment”.

This is the day to make U-turn in order to escape the judgment of God with all its unpleasant and tragic consequences. It may seem momentarily that God stays His hands against iniquities. Know for sure, that each and every sin committed shall be judged by Him who is of purer eyes than to behold iniquity. The only way of escape is to repent of your sins, ask God for forgiveness and cleansing in Christ’s blood, and live daily in anticipation that you will give account of it one day. DCLM Daily Manna 14 February 2018

Thought for the day: There are two paths ahead of everyone: life and death.

Topic: Rest On The Grace Of God

Scripture: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage”. Galatians 5:1 (KJV)

Message: Today, I want to ask you a very important question. Where are you resting? Are you resting in what the newspapers say or what your tradition says? Or what one lying prophet told you? Or are you resting on the infallible word of God which gives assurance and stability?

Let’s consider the story of Samson as documented in the book of Judges chapter 16. When the Philistines shaved his hairs, they removed the seven locks. Seven means Sabbath, which is rest. When he was resting with his locks on his hair, the Philistines could not get him. The moment they shaved his hair, they took away his source of strength. Then, were they able to remove his eyes, tie him, arrest, imprison and humiliate him.

TREM Daily Devotional 19 September 2018 – Rest On The Grace Of God

The church has been humiliated over the years because we have refused to rest. We are living as if Christ did not die, and this baffles me. Beloved He died, He was buried and He rose triumphant over death, hell and grave. Now, you have been quickened, raised and made to sit with him. We are called to sit, not to struggle. He raised you up to show you what He has completed before you came on the scene. He has completed the job, the business, the finance, your Christian life, ministry, family, marriage, and the babies. Our Christian life begins from the point of “It is finished”. That’s why Paul could say; “Now thanks be unto God who always causes us to triumph in Christ…” (2 Cor. 2:14). That means, before the battle even started, the victory is already yours.

TREM Daily Devotional 19 September 2018 – Rest On The Grace Of God

When they shaved his hair, Samson got up and realized that he was without strength. He soon realized his eyes were gone, his freedom was gone. That’s what happens when you walk in the law. You lose your freedom. You then discover that you are constantly under condemnation, accusation and judgment, when the alternative is to walk in the liberty wherewith Christ has set you free. Child of God, the law cannot give you rest. Rest only comes from your knowledge of the finished work of Christ. Choose to rest.

Deeper Life Daily Manna 19 September 2018 Devotional by Pastor W.F. Kumuyi

Topic: For A Fruitful Land!

Text: Isaiah 32:9-20 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest“ (Isaiah 32:15).

MESSAGE: Deeper Life Daily Manna 19 September 2018 Devotional – For A Fruitful Land!

God has always expressed great displeasure towards any society that allows vices such as corruption, profanity, violence and injustice to characterise its system. Such society has often been visited with divine judgment.

In Israel, at this time, particularly in Judah, the sin of idolatry appeared good to all. The people turned their backs on God and concentrated on pleasures; they no longer looked unto the holy One of Israel, neither did they seek the Lord. Instead they went down to Egypt for help (Isaiah 31:1). Judah was soon to be destroyed and taken into captivity. In the light of this, God, in His infinite mercy, sounded an alarm to the careless women who remained at ease. The requirement for their deliverance and fruitfulness was to tremble and cry out to God in humility until He poured out His Spirit of righteousness upon the land.

Deeper Life Daily Manna 19 September 2018 Devotional – For A Fruitful Land!

Human depravity such as moral decadence, corruption, political dysfunctions, cultism, social vices, love for self more than God and so on are the fruit of ungodliness with which Satan destroys societies today.

For our land to experience true fruitfulness (spiritually and physically), believers must not fold their hands and stay aloof. We must rise up as individuals, families and congregations in humility and passionately, persistently seek the Lord in prayers so that His Spirit can reign in the affairs of our land. Then shall our dry and barren land become a fruitful field.

Thought For The Day: A land devoid of God’s presence is full of darkness and disaster.

Dunamis Seeds of Destiny 19 September 2018 Daily Devotional

Topic: What Are You Living For?

Scripture: “6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:6-8.

Thought For The Day: The most important thing to do on Earth is to do His Will.

Message: We live in a generation with inverted priority; a generation where many people do not understand the essence of life. Many people think that life is all about making ends meet; they think that once one has a job and is able to meet the basic necessities of life like having food to eat,”clothes to wear and the ability to pay one’s children’s school fees, one is living. The question is, is that all that life is all about? Not at all!

Now, if working, receiving salary and meeting basic needs of life is not the essence of life, what then is the essence of life?
It is living to do God’s Will!

Dunamis Seeds of Destiny 19 September 2018 Daily Devotional – What Are You Living For?

God has a plan for us in each area of our lives – how to serve Him, who to get married to, the kind of work to do etc. Let me give you a practical example”: in my own life,”I planned, studied and trained to be a medical doctor, but later in life, I discovered His Will for me which is to be a preacher; that is why I am preaching the gospel today. So, the most important thing to do on Earth is to do His Will.

Beloved, I would like you to assess your life and ask yourself a question, ‘Am I doing the Will of God for my life? Am I in the centre of His will?
My counsel is, locate God’s Will in every area of your life and decide to live according to His Will for your life.

Remember this”: The most important thing to do on Earth is to do His Will.
