Latest London knife carnage – A one-year-old baby is fighting for its life after being stabbed along with a woman in West London.
The woman, aged in her thirties, and the baby were airlifted to a nearby hospital after the attack in Feltham this evening.
While the boy is in a critical condition the woman’s injuries are not life-threatening.
Neighbours have been told to lock their doors by police as officers scour the streets around Swinfield Close for the knifeman.
Officers were called to a house at 7.12pm yesterday to reports of concerns for the welfare of the occupants.
Enquiries are underway to trace a man who lived at the address. Police believe the attacker knew the woman and baby.
There have been not yet been any arrests.
An air ambulance landed close to the scene at Oriel Academy’s school playing field.
Witnesses reported seeing some 50 officers scouring the area.
A Met Police spokesman said the victims are in a ‘serious but stable’ condition. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
