Anglican Daily Fountain Devotional 17 February 2020 – No Foothold for the Devil
TOPIC: No Foothold for the Devil
SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:25-32
MESSAGE
The Church, which is the body of Christ, should be one, holy and spotless as the bride of the coming Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. Unity in holiness should be her watchword and goal. The Church would be dysfunctional if bitterness, rage, brawling and slander, falsehood, unforgiveness, laziness, stealing, backbiting, pulling down one another and other vices, exist.
Anglican Daily Fountain Devotional 17 February 2020 – The Holy Spirit of God who is with the Church, would be grieved and desert her if these things exist and persist. Then the Church would be at the mercy of the devil who always seeks opportunities to take advantage of her.
Therefore, every Christian should be careful about his or her conductand make every effort to build up one another – tolerating, sharing with and caring for one another. Brethren, we must work hard to keep the body of Christ one and exclude every vice that the devil may hold on to trouble us.
DAILY QUOTE: “He who lays up treasures on earth spends his life backing away from his treasures. To him, death is loss. He who lays up treasures in heaven looks forward to eternity; he’s moving daily toward his treasures. To him, death is gain.”– Randy Alcorn
PRAYER
