At least 27 people have been reported killed and many others injured after gunmen attacked Gwaska village in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna State last night May 5th.
According to reports, the gunmen stormed the community at about 7pm and began shooting sporadically. They burnt down homes and other valuable properties of residents of the community. Most of the victims were said to be men who were preventing the gunmen from attacking the vulnerable members of the community.
This attack comes barely a week after local miners were massacred by gunmen at Janruwa community also in Birnin-Gwari local government area of the State.
