Your Daily Bible Verse of the Day 3 November 2022 , Thursday

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY: And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song, in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul: And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; 2 Samuel 22:1-2.

Bible Verse of the Day 3 November 2022 MESSAGE

We live in an increasingly wicked world. We live in a world that is characterised by all forms of evil practices.

But that is not the news. The news is, no matter how dangerous the world is, and no matter how wicked people have become, we still serve a God who is eternally committed to the preservation and deliverance of His people (Psalm 23:1-6).

David was one man who confronted more dangers and human wickedness than anyone in the Old Testament. He confronted dangers, overcame them, and was delivered and preserved by God. He faced lions, bears, Goliath, the whole of the Philistines, the Amalekites, and Saul, the King of his country, and prevailed. Thus David escaped the swords and Javelin of Saul many times. Everything was calculated for him to die before his time, but he could not die an untimely death. He fought 66 battles and lost none.

Preservation from God is available for all God’s children but not accessible by everyone. There are scriptural responsibilities to take in order to experience the preservation power of God. Now, what are such responsibilities?

i. Living in the Fear of God.
The Fear of the Lord is a shield against the visitation of evil (Proverbs 19:23, Job 1:1-10).

ii. Maintaining spiritual sensitivity.
Spiritual sensitivity is foundation for spiritual security (1 Kings 22:1-32).

iii. Avoiding the fear of the enemy (Job 3:25-26).
Refuse to fear the devil and his agents.

iv. Watching your utterance (Proverbs 18:21).
Be mindful of what you say.

v. Being watchful and prayerful (Matthew 26:41).
Be vigilant and pray without ceasing.

vi. Refusing to give up.
The garment of discouragement and depression is a killer of life and destroyer of destiny (1 Samuel 30:6).

vii. Maintaining spiritual covering (Hosea 12:13). There is more to spiritual covering than just claiming that someone is your pastor. Maintain a spiritual prophetic covering.

Today, the Hand of God is delivering you and your family from every agenda of the devil, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Lord, I ask that Your mighty Hand of deliverance pulls me out of every satanic plot and agenda against my life, family and destiny, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s Bible Verse is an excerpt from Seeds of Destiny written  by Dr. Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja.
