SUNDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER, 2018
SCRIPTURE: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Reading God’s Word renovates your mentality and upgrades your spiritual life.
MESSAGE: Previously, we have seen the ministry of the Word of God. We saw that God’s word is sent by God to renew or renovate mentality; the Word of God is the fuel and food for the building of faith amongst others.
Now, the question is, how do you benefit from God’s Word? Let me give you seven ways:
1. Read it
Reading God’s Word renovates your mentality and upgrades your spiritual life.
2. Study it
This involves devoting time and attention to do a detailed investigation and analysis of God’s Word. You may study a subject, book or character in the Bible.
3. Think it.
Mediate on God’s Word continually; put the Word to thought.
4. Speak it
Let the Word of God take over your vocabulary; speak it. Confess it.

5. Pray it
Pray Scriptural prophecies and promises. Through the practice of praying the Word, results begin to manifest.
6. Act it
Put it into practice. Act the Word. Do what the Word says. For example, you can refuse to confess that you are sick even if you are having some symptoms because the Bible says, ‘Let the weak say I am strong’ (Joel 3:10).
7. Celebrate it
When you get a revelation from God’s Word, celebrate it. The Psalmist says. ‘In God will I praise His Word’ (Psalms 56:10).
Beloved, as you embark on the steps outlined above, you will see great and wonderful things from God’s Word (Psalm 119:18).
Remember this: Reading God’s Word renovates your mentality and upgrades your spiritual life.
