TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Judges 6:12, NLT – The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!”
TODAY’S WORD
When God called Gideon a mighty hero, he was afraid, intimidated, insecure, hiding from the Israelites’ enemy, and he hadn’t done anything significant. It seemed as though he was just an ordinary farmer. But God calls us what we are before it happens. He knows what’s in us. He’s the one who put the potential, the gifts, and the talents in us. Gideon finally did what I’m asking you to do. Instead of seeing himself as ordinary, not able to, something rose up inside. He said, in effect, “If God says I’m a mighty hero, then I believe I’m a mighty hero.”
When God calls you a mighty hero, if you get in agreement with Him, you will become a mighty hero. He will make things happen that you couldn’t make happen. Now quit discounting yourself and telling Him all that you think you’re not. God calls you what you are before you become it. Now it’s up to you. If you believe it and get it down in your spirit, it will become a reality.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You that You see my potential and know what I am capable of. Thank You that You have equipped and are empowering me to be strong where I feel weak and afraid. I believe that You are transforming me into a mighty hero. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
