Luke 1:26-38
26-27 During Elizabeth’s sixth month of pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to a virgin girl who lived in Nazareth, a town in Galilee. She was engaged to marry a man named Joseph from the family of David. Her name was Mary. 28 The angel came to her and said, “Greetings! The Lord is with you; you are very special to him.”
29 But Mary was very confused about what the angel said. She wondered, “What does this mean?”
30 The angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, because God is very pleased with you. 31 Listen! You will become pregnant and have a baby boy. You will name him Jesus. 32 He will be great. People will call him the Son of the Most High God, and the Lord God will make him king like his ancestor David. 33 He will rule over the people of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 Mary said to the angel, “How will this happen? I am still a virgin.”
35 The angel said to Mary, “The Holy Spirit will come to you, and the power of the Most High God will cover you. The baby will be holy and will be called the Son of God. 36 And here’s something else: Your relative Elizabeth is pregnant. She is very old, but she is going to have a son. Everyone thought she could not have a baby, but she has been pregnant now for six months. 37 God can do anything!”
38 Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant. Let this thing you have said happen to me!” Then the angel went away.
MFM Daily Devotional 7th February 2023 MESSAGE
The abiding, indwelling and empowering presence of God in a life makes all the difference that anyone can desire. The Bible reveals one of the names of Jesus Christ as Emmanuel, which means God with us! Jesus had to be with mankind to deal decisively with the problem of sin and save us from it.
Also, on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended and began to indwell believers. This also proves that God is with us. As believers, we are carriers of God’s presence, power, grace and glory.
When God is with you and for you, you will triumph in the battles of life and over your enemies. The challenges of life, no matter the guise they take, will not overwhelm you. Beloved, the weapons the enemy hurls at you will not prosper if God is with you and for you.
When God is with you, He will use you as a special vessel to accomplish great and mighty things. In fact, many of the people God chose and used as His purpose partners in the Bible- Joshua, Mary the mother of Jesus, Gideon, etc. – were assured with the words, “God is with you” (Joshua 1:5; Luke 1:28; Judges 6:12).
God was with David and He delivered him from the hand of raging King Saul. He was with Apostle Peter and He delivered him from Herod’s incarceration and the expectation of the enemies of the early church. He was with Apostle Paul and though their ship wrecked, Paul’s life and those of other passengers with him were saved. He was with Daniel and the lions could not kill him. He was with Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego and the fire in the fiery furnace could not hurt them.
When God is with you, He will make impossible situations possible. He will make your Jordan and Red Sea to part; He will make a way in the wilderness for you and provide rivers in your desert.
Beloved, this year, pray that the Lord will be your Shepherd and you will not suffer want. He will be with you in your journey of life and give you rest round about, in the Name of Jesus.

MORNING
1. Father, be with me in my journey of life and my divine assignment, in the Name of Jesus.
2. Father, You are the Lord of hosts, be with me and be my refuge, in the Name of Jesus.
3. O God, let Your presence in my life make me invincible, in the Name of Jesus.

4. Thou fourth man in the fiery furnace, be with me in my journey this year and beyond, in the Name of Jesus.
5. O God, be my shepherd and sufficiency, in the Name of Jesus.
6. The Lord is with me; I am highly favoured and highly blessed, in the Name of Jesus.
7. I am a candidate of divine immunity because God is with me, in the Name of Jesus.
