Fire Scripture
John 15:13-16 – Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 22 JULY 2023 MESSAGE:
If you are born again, you have made a wise choice to accept Jesus’ hand of friendship. He doesn’t see you as a servant but as a friend, and he has a high expectations from this friendship fruitfulness.
Your friendship with Jesus does not mean you have to sit still, minding your own business, waiting for Him to retum to take you to heaven. Truly. He will return to take you to heaven, but while waiting. He needs you to be productive in every sense; He wants you to yield benefits. And this might mean going out of your comfort zone to get His will done.
Is your friendship with Jesus influencing others to be friends with Jesus?
Are your actions in line with the Christian words you profess? Do you still have that little resentment in your heart against your neighbour? Are you making the most of the ‘little’ you have or just obsessing and worrying over acquiring more for your selfish comfort? Can you truly look yourself in the mirror and say you have used all the resources God has blessed you with (talent, money, time, energy, etc.) for the expansion of His kingdom and for the good of your neighbour? How many excuses have you made for the good you ought to do that you didn’t do (Hebrews 13:16: James 4:17)? How long will you postpone that action He directed you to take long ago?
These are things that matter to Jesus, and if you are truly His friend, they will matter to you too. And He promised that when you are fruitful, “whatsoever you shall ask the Father in His name, He will give it to you” (John 15:16).
Dearly beloved, becoming fruitful in friendship is a goal you and every other believer should pursue. To achieve this, you need the help of the Holy Spirit. You also need to love others as Jesus has loved you unconditionally. You must also be willing to forgive those who offend you. You must be ready to consistently encourage others in the way of the Lord. You must demonstrate Christlikeness to everyone around you. Through friendship you can be a positive influence to others and win them for Christ. You are Christ’s
ambassador!
