Error and wrong doctrines have been in existence since creation. Satan used the serpent to deceive the woman to raise questions that overturned the clear Word of God in her heart. In the days of the Lord Jesus on earth, several errors were also propagated by the various sects of Judaism. One of such is by the Sadducees, a group that argued that there was no life after death.
They cooked up a story to ridicule life after death, or so they thought until they heard Jesus’ response. Note His response to the Sadducees in vs.24-27 and the two ways He exposed their ignorance of Scripture. He also quoted evidence of the resurrection in the book of Moses, the portion of the Old Testament they accepted (v.26, cf. Exodus 3:6).
Many wrong doctrines circulating today in and outside the church stem from unbalanced knowledge of and/or lack of faith in the Scriptures. If we do not want to fall into these errors therefore, we must diligently meditate on God’s word and believe it with all our heart. See 2 Timothy 2:15 and 2 Peter 3:18.

Dear Lord, deliver me from errors and heretical teachings, the doctrines of the devil.

THANK GOD FOR:
► The plan He has for us to mature in Him as we keep speaking the truth in love.
► Helping us present our body as one approved of God as we rightly present ourselves to Him.
PRAY FOR:
► Grace to continue this Christian walk blamelessly, doing righteous things and speaking the truth from our hearts.
► Deliberate decision to keep holding on to the teachings of Christ and not be deceived in this end time.
► Spiritual strength to hold on to what is right, lovely, excellent and praise worthy even as we see the day approaching.
PRAY AGAINST:
► Loving with words and not in actions and in truth.
► Every spirit that wants to make us walk in darkness and continue in lie and not live out the truth.
