OUTLINE: Do you write poems or songs? Like the psalmist, we can write poems, songs and other stories that are Bible based as a way of celebrating the greatness of our God and to make him known to the whole world.

In vv.2–18, the psalmist describes what God created from day one to three (Genesis 1:1–13). How does the beauty of God’s creation around you show his greatness? As you read this psalm, how do you feel about your environment compared with what God created?

How can you make it better? Read v.5 again and note the emphatic declaration of the psalmist. The earth is built by God on a sure foundation; it cannot be moved by anybody, except God himself. This should comfort us that in spite of all the troubles going on, our God is still in control of the affairs of this world. Vv.10–18 show that God did not only create, but he also maintains and cares for his creatures. Which of these verses is of particular interest to you for which you must praise God?

⁂ Any new insight or reinforcement of what you already know?
