TOPIC: In His Presence
OPENING PRAYER: Grant me depth of insight, revelation and knowledge as I meditate on this passage, O Lord.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Exodus 34:18-35
QUESTION FOR REFLECTION
• Q 3: Is there any command for me to obey?
God commanded the children of Israel to celebrate three feasts: of Unleavened Bread (the Passover), of Weeks and of Ingathering. These were to remind them of their redemption from bondage and slavery in Egypt, the blessing of fruitful harvest as well as God’s providence and provisions throughout their wilderness wanderings, and the divine protection when they dwelt in tents during their transition from Egypt to Canaan. It is important to honour God by celebrating and testifying to His goodness, telling them to others including our children. We should never take God’s blessings for granted.
God instructed that the first offspring from every womb and the first fruits of the soil belong to Him. In the same way, He must have the first place in our lives. We must give generously to Him for the furtherance of the gospel. He is the giver of all good things which He has entrusted to us. We must therefore give liberally to God’s work here on earth. See 2 Corinthians 9:6-7.
Notice the effects Moses’ encounter with God had on him and how the people reacted (vs.29-31). Do your times with God have visible effects on you? See 2 Corinthians 3:18. Pray that as you draw closer to God, you will experience changes not just on your countenance but in your whole being.

CLOSING PRAYER
Lord, give us grace to learn the beauty of your presence.
Offer a prayer of faith in line with Psalms 27:9

► For the impact SU has been having on the children through our various programmes.
► For all children workers across our formations.
PRAY FOR:
► Grace for a more impactful ministry among children.
► The children that have been reached will be established in the truth, and they will not depart from it when they grow older.
► Grace for the children to live an effectual Christian life that will draw their family members to Christ
