TOPIC: Slothfulness – The Way of Systemic Degradation
SCRIPTURE: By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through. Ecclesiastes 10:18
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Lethargy is the death of energy.
MESSAGE: It has been confirmed that the way of slothfulness is the way of systemic degradation. Systems are degraded when slothfulness is allowed. I give you an illustration to portray this: There is an animal called the sloth. Sloths are medium-sized mammals that live in the Central and South American rainforests. They got their name from slow movement. ‘Sloth’ is the root word in the word ‘slothfulness’. The sloth is the slowest mammal on Earth. It hangs on trees upside down because it is too tired to lie normally. It is very slothful and sloppy. Seeds of Destiny 5 March 2018. This animal sleeps fifteen hours a day. Due to the slothfulness of sloths, fungi and algae grow on their bodies because they are too tired to drive or prevent the growth of unwanted organism.
Beloved, to be lethargic is to be useless in life; lethargy is the death of energy. God designed the body to be functional and not fashional. This means, you are not designed by God to exist for fashion; rather, you are designed to exist for function.
My counsel is, refuse to be slothful like the sloth. Engage your life in profitable activity in line with the purpose of God for your life.
Remember this: Lethargy is the death of energy.

2. Decide to be lively and enthusiastic in all you do.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to be active and lively in my daily activities. I reject the spell of slothfulness, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
