The current World best player, Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to leave Real Madrid as a direct result of the club’s procrastination over a new contract, according to a report from ESPN.
The striker believes a lucrative new deal should be on the table following a formidable 2016-17 campaign, while seeing Lionel Messi and Neymar both being rewarded bumper contracts of their own at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
And although initial talks have started in regards to a new deal, Real chief Florentino Perez is delaying a renewal as the Portugal international’s current contract still has three years to run.
Unwilling to wait, however, Ronaldo is said to be ready to leave because of the slow progress.
