TOPIC:Â Discovering Yourself In The Word
SCRIPTURE: And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, Luke 4:17
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The discovery of what is written about you in Scripture is key to the fulfilment of your destiny.
SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR TODAY:
While on earth, Jesus once went into the temple to read as His customs was, and then the Scripture was given to Him. When He had opened it, He found the place where a prophecy was written concerning Him.
Luke 4:17-18 says,
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…
The important point to note here is, “…he found the place where it was written…”
He found a place where there was something written about his life and destiny.
You see, it is not just enough for us to read the Bible, it is important to identify what is written concerning us and our peculiar situation. The discovery of what is written about you in Scripture is key to the fulfilment of your destiny.
It is when you are able to make such a discovery that you are ushered into the fulfilment of God’s Purpose for your life.
From the Word of God, you should be able to answer the questions: “Who am I? What am I on earth for? What am I created for?”
When you discover what is written in Scripture concerning your life, it makes it easy for you to fulfil your destiny.
My counsel is: pray and study the Scriptures diligently. Look for what has been written about you in the Word.
Remember this: The discovery of what is written about you in Scripture is key to the fulfilment of your destiny.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Devote your time to studying the Scripture diligently.
2. Find out what has been written about you and take responsibility to fulfil it.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace and discipline to study the Scripture diligently. Open my eyes to see myself in Scripture as I study so I can take responsibility and fulfil destiny, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
